28 to Great Challenge: Body Wisdom
Many of you requested more information about our nutrition program before committing to the 28 to Great Challenge. Read on to learn more about our approach!
The 28 to Great nutrition program I designed with Andrea Nakayama has given me and thousands of my clients the results we want including weight loss, increased energy, and new ideas for recipes. But the best and most surprising result of following our 28 to Great nutrition protocol is what Andrea calls “body wisdom.” Just like in our classes when you hear us suggesting modifications to “make barre3 your own,” our nutrition program provides flexibility and options for your individual needs.
Our entire program can be distilled into three words: eat whole foods. Read this blog entry to learn more about what exactly a whole food is. We have a short list of foods that do not fall into the whole foods category that we want you to avoid altogether including artificial sweeteners, trans fats, and chemical additives. This is one area we are hopeful everyone agrees to! More on this subject once you join our challenge!
If you are like me (and almost all my clients who have gone through this with me) you have two big questions holding you back: Can I drink coffee? Can I drink booze? My answer is, of course you can BUT we ask that you try to modify based on Andrea’s advice.
Coffee: Limit to one cup before noon OR upgrade and replace with green tea.
Alcohol: Try limiting to 1 drink for special occasions OR upgrade and omit altogether. It’s only 28 days and we will give you great alternatives!
Again, these are our suggestions. Make this your own. Lastly, many of you have asked if this diet is vegetarian friendly. My short answer is YES. When you get your nutrition guide you will see we provide a shopping list you can choose from. 90% of the ingredients are vegetarian and almost every recipe can be modified if it isn’t already vegetarian.
We believe in empowering each individual to tap into their own body wisdom versus giving a strict one-size-fits all plan. I have personally learned so much about how to modify my diet so I feel good in my own skin. I am excited to share this wisdom with you! Hopefully this helps you. Get started here!
