Studio Owner Spotlight: Becca Bagge
There are a million things that drew us to Becca Bagge when we met her, but it was her passion for education that completely won us over. A former teacher, Becca thrives when she’s helping people learn—and learning from them. She brings that passion into the studio, giving clients invaluable one-on-one attention to help them reach their fitness goals.
We’re thrilled to have Becca heading up our newest location, in Berwyn, Pennsylvania. Read on to get to know her!
Perfect day: I take pleasure in the simple things. I’d start by sleeping in and cuddling with my two dogs. Then, I’d go to a late morning barre3 class with my husband followed by a hike at Valley Forge Park. After an active morning, I’d recharge by meeting girlfriends for tea and reading a book. To end the day, my husband and I would have our families over for dinner and watch a movie at home.
My motto: Life is short. Be kind, and do things that make you truly happy. Don’t be afraid to take risks and make mistakes. When I get scared, I ask myself, “What is the absolute worst-case scenario if I do this?” Usually it’s something I can deal with, and the risk-reward is totally worth it.
I own barre3 because: After taking live classes in Portland, I realized that I want barre3 to be a part of my everyday routine. I connect with barre3’s balanced approach to whole-body health. I’m happier, more relaxed, and I manage stress better since I’ve started a regular barre3 practice. As a result, I’m more balanced, and I can give more to the people I love.
Favorite barre3 move: It’s hard to choose just one! Diamond Pose is my favorite because it’s an immediate burner and targets the side of the seat. Even though I can barely finish the exercise, I smile the whole time.
My current fitness goal: Stay mindful and present during my workouts. It’s easy for me to let my mind wander and think about my to-do list. By staying focused, I know I’ll work deeper and get even better results. Even better, I’ll feel replenished and ready for the day ahead.
Before owning a barre3 studio I was: A school teacher. I taught 5th grade for a few years, and then I taught English as a Second Language. I adored my students. I learned so much from them, and I’ll always appreciate the time I had teaching. I am so happy to continue my work teaching as a barre3 instructor. I look forward to helping people learn more about their bodies at the studio.
