It’s Time, For Me: Inspiration From barre3 Studio Owners
“It’s time, for me.” A barre3 class represents sacred time during which you’re encouraged to listen to your body, tune into your breath, and let everything else melt away. We asked barre3 owners across the country to tell us what “it’s time, for me” means to them—here’s what they shared.
Barre3 is the time that I can…
…Let go of control. I trust my instructor and I can let my anxiety melt away. – Denielle Wegman, owner of barre3 Richardson
…Truly focus on myself without distraction. – Gina Drake, owner of barre3 Edmonds
…Show up just as I am. It’s a time to celebrate the power of wise choices and meaningful human connection. – Alicia Sokol, owner of barre3 DC 14th Street
…Completely disconnect from what’s going on externally, take a journey inside and be present in each moment. My barre3 practice has helped me cultivate awareness and practice mindfulness more often. It’s also a time I can honor my body with movement. Each class inspires me and provides me with opportunities to push myself or scale back and embrace the modifications, depending on how I’m feeling that day. The barre3 community has brought the most amazing people into my life. It is my favorite workout of all time and I will be forever grateful for it! – Erica Walker, co-owner of barre3 Fort Mill
…Live in the moment. – Melanie Zook, co-owner of barre3 Fort Mill
…Be my truest, most authentic self, without fear of judgment, knowing that I’m in a room full of support that I can lean on no matter how I’m feeling that day. – Shayla Green, owner of barre3 Mill Creek
…Connect with my breath, body, and with my community. It’s the time I reset from the inside out. – Lindsay Parks, owner of barre3 Oklahoma City
…Let everything else go. The stress of the day, the worries about what’s going on in the world- and I can just be present. Present in my body and in my mind, and I will just leave feeling better. – Katie Fingeroot, co-owner of barre3 Ballard
…Truly be present with myself, and give myself the time that I need and not feel guilty about it. – Kimberly Johanson, co-owner of barre3 Ballard
