My #barre3anywhere Summer Goals
Summer is my favorite season, and I plan to make the very most of it this year with our barre3 Anywhere Summer ‘16 program. I just filled out my Summer Guide from our barre3 Anywhere collection, and I’m bringing it everywhere to remind me to stay committed. I know when I consciously take time for myself to be healthy, everything in my life is so much more meaningful.
Whenever I start any new program, I like to set goals for myself. I recently learned from goal-setting expert Claudia Amendt that the first step to setting intentional goals is to get clear on your values.
Here’s a short list of my values as I head into summer:
1. Being healthy so I feel good while I indulge in summer FUN.
2. Staying present and centered.
3. Connecting with my kids.
From there, I pulled together three specific goals to focus on throughout barre3 Anywhere Summer ‘16. They include:
1. Do barre3 everyday, even if that means just 10 minutes some days—and especially during my family RV road trip around the Southwest.
2. Meditate twice a day for 15 minutes.
3. Schedule at least one activity with my kids each week.
I’m not going it alone. For support while I’m trying to meet my goals, I’ve asked my team and my family for help. Here’s how I’ll be leaning on them:
1. With my busy travel schedule, I’m going to rely on our barre3 online instructors. I am so thankful for the new barre3 online weekly plans and my team leading them. Hi Candace, Lisa, Andrew, Harper, and Catie! You’re coming with me on my road trip!
2. On Sundays my family holds a meeting to discuss our priorities for the week ahead. I remind them each week that I need precious minutes to myself right after I wake up and right before dinner to meditate. My husband Chris and two kids fully support me in this because they know I am so much happier and present when I do.
3. My AMAZING assistant Allie is helping me carve out space on my calendar for quality time with my kids each week. I love that she completely supports how much I value connecting with my kids.
Have you asked yourself what you really want this summer? My team and I are here to help you. Let us know your thoughts in the comments below. And you’re still welcome to join barre3 Anywhere Summer ‘16. We’re all in this together!
