While COVID-19 has greatly affected all of us, its impact on some populations has been particularly devastating. With school closures in effect across the country, millions of children are suddenly without food. At the time we posted this article, more than 234 million school meals have been missed due to the pandemic—an unthinkable number that will continue to grow.
In an effort to help, we’ve partnered with No Kid Hungry, an organization dedicated to ending childhood hunger in America. At participating barre3 studios, when you purchase a class package, you’ll get 10% off, and 10% of proceeds will go to No Kid Hungry.
The honest truth is that COVID-19 has meant vast amounts of lost revenue for barre3 and its 148+ studios around the country, all of which have temporarily closed. However, we recognize that there are many people out there whose basic human needs are not being met. We can turn our attention to ourselves later. Now is the time to support others.
Class packages can be purchased directly from participating studios—meaning that when you buy, you’re not only helping children in need, but you’re also helping support a local business. You can use classes from the packages for live-streaming classes if they’re being offered by your local studio, or for in-studio classes when the studio reopens. If you don’t live near a barre3 studio, consider buying a class package for a friend or family member who does—a gift both for them and for the greater good.
