Okay, everyone: How was B3 ALL IN Week 1? Between five workouts, dozens of recipes and a newfound love for Dark Chocolate Donut Holes, there was a lot going on. Just like you, we’re figuring out how to make it all happen while overcoming challenges—from cross-country work travel to caffeine cravings. Read on to hear how a few of our barre3 team members are feeling as we head into Week 2, and then let us know how YOU’RE doing! Mood: So grateful to be a part of this!
Making It Happen: I’m approaching B3 ALL IN like I approach my hour in the studio: the handbook is a class, and it’s my job to modify as my body sees fit. That means some of my five classes are online at home, and some nights I sub a salad instead of making a recipe that would take me away from time with my daughter. I’m most excited that I feel completely satiated all the time, and I’ve kicked sugar to the curb (this coming from someone who lives for cookies)! I honestly can’t wait to keep cooking these recipes again and again and again.

Mood: Physically, I feel a bit tired, but I know that will change soon. Mentally, I feel smart and strong.
Making It Happen: I love knowing I’m making healthy choices and that I’m totally committed. I’ve said “no” to lattes, doughnuts, and pizza, but I don’t feel like I’m depriving myself for one second because I LOVE the foods I’m eating! I’m very much looking forward to Week 2, when I know I’ll be feeling even stronger and more energized in my body.

Mood: Feeling grounded and excited about the weeks to come.
Making It Happen: I was hesitant to commit to B3 ALL IN due to the nutrition piece. In the past, following a meal plan has resulted in feelings of failure and shame. I didn’t feel capable of owning a lot of these recipes, so I held back. But, my favorite thing about the B3 community is the encouragement to make it your own. Maybe I can’t follow the meal plan to the letter, but I can cut out processed foods and added sugars, and find joy fueling my body with whole foods. Week 1 was full of healthier meals and snacks, drinking more water, and taking classes that inspire my own teaching. I feel stronger, my skin is clearer, and my energy is buoyant. Bring on Week 2!

Mood: GREAT! Less bloated. Clearer mind. Powerful and strong.
Making It Happen: I’m amazed at how much I love these recipes. I cut all my veggies during the week on Sunday, so no meal prep has taken more than 10 minutes, and I have leftovers for the next day. I do miss the idea of my morning decaf whole-milk latte, but I had a big win today: I told myself earlier that I could have one latte per week on Fridays, but then I CHOSE tea! Honestly, I think next week will be even easier to resist cravings because I feel so great.

Mood: If I made it through this week, nothing can stop me!
Making It Happen: My full-time job had me traveling, which meant my days were filled with lots of conferences (i.e., sitting) and little cooking. I leaned heavily on the B3 portion prescription and special requests, and was able to get my classes in at barre3 Scottsdale—YAY! One of my biggest goals was to crowd out my beloved coffee. The first few days were rough and I was tempted to give up, but by day four, something changed. The headaches and moodiness disappeared. When I’m craving coffee, I brew myself a tea instead. I’m sleeping much better and my skin feels really soft. It wasn’t an easy week by any means, but I’m feeling calm, focused, and ready to see what Week 2 brings our way!

Mood: I feel supported in finding the balanced lifestyle I’m looking for.
Making It Happen: Honestly, getting to class or doing online workouts isn’t the main challenge for me—it’s eating right. This has been something I’ve been wanting—correction, needing—to do. Fueling myself from within this past week, I can already feel a change and I have more energy. Have I been perfect? No! I’m still figuring this out, but every day that I walk into the studio and read the reasons people are doing B3 ALL IN, I feel empowered by this wonderful community. This is the start to a more balanced life!
