LET’S TALK: WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT YOUR BODY?
Remember back in high school, when you’d stand in front of the mirror scrutinizing every last inch of your body? We’re a far cry from those days—and we couldn’t be happier about it. Now, instead of picking our body apart for what it isn’t, we prefer to be grateful for what it is.
So, let’s celebrate our amazing, powerful, ever-changing bodies together. To kick things off, we asked our Master Trainers to tell us about a body part they’re especially proud of, and why. Check out their answers, and then join the conversation by sharing your body-proud comment below!
CATIE FAHRNER
I am thankful for my strong glutes because they support my hips. This is major for me right now because I am in my third trimester: My body must be strong and supported so my baby is happy and healthy.
LISA SCHALE-DRAKE
I’m thankful for my core. I feel taller, stronger, and more motivated to move because my core is always there for me. It supported me throughout my pregnancy (with twins!) and is now helping me be a strong mom.
ANDREW ASH
I’m thankful for my strong quads. They help stabilize my knees—which in turn keep them safe from any pain during my workouts. Power Leg is an incredible move to build strength in your quads.
SARA CATHERINE WHEATLEY
I love my belly! I love feeling a deep burn in mid-core and the way its strength supports me in a plank. My strong belly keeps me supported so I can move with ease and grace through my whole day, AND I get to fill it with delicious, nourishing foods!
SHANNON MCCLINTOCK
I am grateful for a strong upper back. Not only has doing barre3 given me stronger postural muscles to LITERALLY stand taller (grew 1/4 inch!) but it has made me stronger and brighter in my everyday life. I have less shoulder pain and can do more of the things I love confidently.
HARPER KALIN
I’m thankful for my lats that give me a strong and powerful stroke while I row. They help give me strong posture in the boat, which is critical to stay up with my amazing teammates.
