It’s that time of year again—summer is ending and kids are going back to school. For many of us this means getting back to a more “normal” schedule, which can definitely change our fitness routines. Whether you find it harder or easier to fit exercise into a stricter daily schedule, taking care of yourself certainly requires being intentional. Try these tips to make wellness a priority:
- Plan for success. Do you put off workouts till the evening, only to find that you don’t have the energy to get them done? Think about what’s realistic for you–maybe that means setting your alarm a little earlier to fit your workout in before the kids get up.
- Schedule your workout. This is one of our favorite tips! Whether you’re attending a class, jogging around your neighborhood, or doing a barre3 online workout, schedule that time into your calendar. Treat your workout like it’s an important appointment—because it is!
- Remember the power of just 10 minutes. This is one of our most important principles at barre3, and science is on our side. You don’t have to spend an hour working out to achieve real, lasting benefits. Read more about the benefits of 10 minute workouts here.
